DESCRIPTION:LYF will be doing our very own week of serving our local community. This will be an overnight week at CBCGL. \nOur Service week will be from Sunday evening  – Friday afternoon July 24-29.\nSunday Evening 8pm After Dinner\, Friday will end after lunch 1pm. (If you cannot go home between Church and SYSP please let us know and you can stay (dinner provided). \nAll Meals throughout the week will be provided\, and we will be sleeping at church. \nThe focus of this week is to invite youth into Christian Service. We will have a daily time to worship\, devotion\, and reflection. \nWednesday evening will be a fun night and meal\, which will focus on our own community and socialization. Please bring your own money for an eat-out dinner\, maybe Ice cream\, snacks\, or other treats for this evening. \nWe may be doing things such as yard work at community gardens and parks\, sorting and distributing food and cloth\, running games for neighboring children\, evangelism and praying for the community\, or service opportunities in your own neighborhoods\, etc. \nFor more details\, please review this SYSP info document. \nWe will have a CBCGL Heart Pond 5K Fundraiser on May 15th on the nearby Bruce Freeman Rail Road Trail\, in supporting this service week. SUMMARY:Summer Youth Service Project (SYSP)
DESCRIPTION:In Lieu of Boston Project this year\, LYF will be doing a service project serving our church and the local community in the week of 8/16-8/20.\n\nWe will meet from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (with a late pick up by 6pm)\nBreakfast & Lunch will be provided (no dinner)\nFriday will end after lunch (1pm)\n\nThe focus of this week is to invite youth into Christian Service. We will have a daily time to worship\, do devotions\, and reflect afterward. We will be doing things such as designing and painting the new LYF room\, yardwork at community garden\, sorting and distributing food\, running games for neighboring children\, evangelism and praying for the community\, etc. Wednesday Afternoon will be a fun day\, which will have a focus on our own community and socialization.\n\nRegistration fee: $50  (Mainly covering the meal cost.  It is generally non-refundable\, so if a student cannot make it we can reallocate it to another event or program such as LYF retreat. )\n\nIf students would like to join us\, August 16-20th\, please apply by no later than June 30th!
