CPC Women Bible Study

CBCGL Ladies Fellowship Gathering (9/2021 – 11/2021)
Please note the upcoming event on the CBCGL Ladies Fellowship gatherings this Fall. The theme for the next two meetings is “Navigating the College Years“.
The three panelists from the last meeting gave a lot of good advice and extremely useful insights on what to do and how to be prepared for that “next step” in their 4 years in college so that they were able to meet all the requirements to graduate on time (and double majors). They also gave suggestions on how to gain work experience to land their first job.

Lunch is back at CBCGL!
Beginning 10/24 (Sunday), in time for our congregational meeting, the Church Kitchen will be re-opened to serve Lunch. The lunch will be in the form of a $4 pre-packaged lunchbox. (Note: This doesn’t include drinks, so please bring your own drink!) Brothers and sisters are required to submit the pre-order form online by 11:00pm on the preceding Friday each week. 2021 Congregational Meeting will be held Today 10/24 at 1:30pm in the Main Sanctuary. All church members are invited, even obligated, to join the Meeting. Please find the voting items as listed below.
Voting item 1: New Church Council Members. In the new church bylaw approved this April, assistant pastors and ministers may be elected as council members. The church council would like to recommend Pastor Ben Tu and Minister Katherine Lu to become council members. Please prepare to vote on this proposal.
Voting item 2: 2022 Elder candidates: Oscar Hsu (new), Elder Ming Chiang (re-elect), and Elder Jeremy Wu (re-elect).
Voting item 3: 2022 Deacon/Deaconess candidates: Shufen Chen (new), Shiping Geng (new), Lichuan Lin (new), Jecko Li (re-elect), Yajwu Wu (re-elect), Paul Li (re-elect), Tony Ge (re-elect).
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child has returned this year and all are welcomed to participate. Please contact New Birth Christian Fellowship (A209) or brother Caleb Cheng for info, labels, and pre-made boxes. As there are a limited quantity of these boxes, recycled shoe boxes are very welcomed. The shipping fee is $9 per box and the collection deadline is November 21, 2021. Please include a check made to Samaritan’s Purse, with the memo “Operation Christmas Child”.

Covid-19 face mask mandate
Based on the current COVID-19 pandemic situation and latest CDC guidelines, the COVID-19 task force updated church COVID-19 policy：
1: Wearing face mask is required to attend church indoor activities regardless of vaccination status except when preaching, teaching or leading worship service.
2: After international or domestic travel by plane, self-quarantine for 10 days before attending church in-person activities or follow state and CDC recommendations or requirements.
3: MPR room is limited for only no contact sports, e. g pong-pong, badminton and etc

- The church lawyer has revised the COVID-19 waiver form. Members and coworkers who are going to church for meetings/gatherings, please download the new form below at
Please fill in the form and give it to ushers or coworkers when you arrive at the church. Hard copies of the COVID-19 Waiver form will also be available at the entrance of our sanctuary. Parents are required to fill in the form for their kids under the age of 18. Please note that only one completed waiver form per household is required.
COVID–19 Special Task Force
The COVID-19 Special Task Force includes Deacon Tony Ge (Chairman), Elder Jeremy Wu, Pastor Ben Tu, and Brother Ray Gan. The committee is responsible for developing COVID-19 related policies, handling COVID-19 related tasks and emergencies, and approving church reopening programs.
