Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It’s time for Spring Cleaning! My apologies for the false start last week. This weekend, April 24-26, CPC will be spring cleaning. We are in charge of 5 rooms (and the hallways in between/outside of them). So bring cleaning supplies from home: things for dusting, sweeping, and sanitizing. We’ll be taking care of rooms A201A and B, A202, A216 and A218, and the hallways between them. We will start with room A216 tonight, and possibly also clean A218. Then on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 pm, we will clean rooms A201A, A201B, and A202. We will clean windows, clean tables, sweep the floor, mop the floor, and clean the ceiling vents. We will need help moving tables, chairs and setting things back in place when the cleaning is done. I hope you can join in the cleaning since many hands make light work.
Other ways you can serve in the coming weeks: You can also bring in supplies for VBS this summer. See the list in the bulletin (Children’s Ministry Tab). You can also bring in pre-k or kindergarten level books which are like new (gently used), in either English or Spanish. CBCGL is collecting 40 of these books to be sent with the Panama STM this summer.
A couple of other things: Since Wednesday, the Chair of the Council, Ming Chiang has been sending out e-mails daily with updates from each ministry. Here’s the release schedule so that you can check your e-mails to know what is going on at CBCGL!
State of the Church report release schedule:
4/22 (Wed) – General Services
4/23 (Thu) – Global Mission
4/24 (Fri) – Children Ministry
4/25 (Sat) – Youth Ministry
4/26 (Sun) – CrossPoint Community Ministry
4/27 (Mon) – Mandarin Ministry
4/28 (Tue) – Cantonese Ministry
4/29 (Wed) – Local Mission
4/30 (Thu) – Finance

Also, just a heads up, so you’re not wondering where I am on Sunday, April 26, I’ll be preaching in the Children’s Ministry. I look forward to sharing God’s Word with you on May 3rd.

Please continue to pray for the nations of Iran and Israel/Gaza and Ukraine/Russia and Sudan. Here is a suggested list of prayers if you are at a loss for words in how to pray: https://send.org/story/hh_pray_for_ukraine. And https://worldrelief.org/blog-prayer-for-israel-and-gaza/ And here are other prayers for peace in general: https://worldrelief.org/prayers-for-peace-in-the-world/ Thank you for kneeling on behalf of the people of Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Gaza and Lebanon, and Sudan, and Iran and taking a stand (or a knee in prayer) against the forces of darkness in this present age.

Further announcements can be found in the weekly spotlight. And other church wide announcements can be found in our weekly bulletin.

For Prayer:

1. From Bishop J.C. Ryle – “To be prayerless is to be Christless, Godless, and in the high road to destruction…It will always be found that when prayers are few, grace, strength, peace, and hope are small.” Please join our Wednesday night prayer meeting (7:45 – 9:00 pm) even if you can’t participate the whole time.
