Women’s Bible Study – “Keeping It Vertical”
Our Women’s Bible Study called KEEPING IT VERTICAL, will be starting up again on September 6th at 1:00 o’clock on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month. We will be studying FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT. Come join us in person in a sharing and caring environment as we learn of God’s great love for us. All women are welcome! Name: Jennifer & Rick Bell
Mission Target: East Asia
Rick and Jennifer have served in overseas missions in East Asia for many years. He then pastored churches in Missouri and Mississippi. During furloughs, he has taught at different colleges, including a winter term at Alaska Bible Institute. He is currently leading a church-replant at Faith Bible Fellowship in Tennessee while waiting for doors to open for him and Jennifer to return to Asia to continue the work of overseas missions.
Praises & Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for healing over Jennifer’s ankle so that she can regain full mobility and that Rick can proceed with plans to travel to the Philippines in the near future as they seek to find a new mission field while CN’s borders remain closed.
- While Rick has been called as a church pastor, he now finds himself as a church planter. Please pray for his current church re-plant to succeed even when it seems like “an impossible task” with the various challenges he is faced with.
- Praise God for bringing them hope amidst feelings of being overwhelmed with the church re-plant. Praise God for two recovering drug and alcohol users who have started to attend the church more consistently, one of whom is now meeting with Rick on a regular basis.
- Praise God for giving Rick opportunities to share the gospel with two different men outside the church, both of whom have previously attended church in the past. Neither knew the gospel. Praise God for using Rick to share the gospel with them, and pray that God would continue to use Rick to open their hearts to receive him.
The Christmas Donation Event for Wish Project
The list of items:
New or used: Clothes(winter Jackets and winter boots*urgent needs * [men, women, kids], winter clothing, kids sneakers, Baby items (diaper bags/play mats/blankets/safety kits), small appliances (toaster ovens/toasters/crock pots/space heaters), Home goods (can openers/shower curtain liners and ringsurgentneeds*/pot holders/steak knives/towels- face, hand, and bath size).
New item only: Baby times (baby wipes/diapers size 2 to 6) ，Cleaning/hygiene(adult or children body wash/tear free baby body wash/shampoo/conditioner/dish soap/dish sponges/kitchen trash bags/gallon sized zip lock bags)

Time: 10 am – 12 pm @ 17 December, 2022
Location: Front entrance of CBCGL, Drive through
Preparation of donated items: Please separate clothes from other items. For clothes, please put them into different bags according to Men, Women, Children and label them clearly on the outside of each bag. For used clothes, please clean them well before donation. For small appliances, please make sure that they are functional. The co-workers will sort out items and deliver them to the Wish Project.
