Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Did you know that you have the ability to affect the future of CrossPoint Community and CBCGL? For example, the election of deacons and the appointment of members to the Church Council affect who will be helping to serve and who will make decisions on behalf of the whole congregation. As a member, you get to vote to elect those leaders this coming Sunday on Oct. 26th, 2025. Might you be one of them in the future?
Your presence at the congregational meeting communicates that you care about CrossPoint Community and the other ministries of CBCGL. Your presence and participation will allow you to learn about the intended future direction of each ministry (Mandarin, Cantonese, CrossPoint, Youth and Children). Your presence will also enable you to hear from other members during the Q and A to hear what their concerns are. Moreover, through the congregational meeting, you’ll get to hear encouragement from our treasurer regarding how our church is doing financially, and you can consider how your giving plays a part in enabling us to continue to use our building, to continue to serve the local community, and continue to support the 30 Missionaries that CBCGL helps to support. I look forward to seeing you there!
If you can’t make it, please complete an absentee ballot from the church office no later than Saturday at 1:30 pm. And please keep praying for the 3-Year Vision for CPC. The Pastor / Elder / Deacon group still needs to work out specific measures to know when we are fulfilling our vision.

Please continue to pray for the nations of Israel and Ukraine and South Sudan. Here is a suggested list of prayers if you are at a loss for words in how to pray: https://send.org/story/hh_pray_for_ukraine. And https://worldrelief.org/blog-prayer-for-israel-and-gaza/ And here are other prayers for peace in general: https://worldrelief.org/prayers-for-peace-in-the-world/ Thank you for kneeling on behalf of the people of Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Gaza and Lebanon, Sudan and South Sudan, and taking a stand (or a knee in prayer) against the forces of darkness in this present age.

Further announcements can be found in the weekly spotlight. And other church wide announcements can be found in our weekly bulletin

For Prayer:

1.From Bishop J.C. Ryle – “To be prayerless is to be Christless, Godless, and in the high road to destruction…It will always be found that when prayers are few, grace, strength, peace, and hope are small.” Please join our Wednesday night prayer meeting (7:45 – 9:00 pm) even if you can’t participate the whole time.
