CBCGL EM News 04/30/2021

Our God cares about the nations. He has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world (1 John 4:14), not just the Savior of you and me. God’s name is to be made great among the nations (cf. Psalm 67). One of the Sunday schools in the English Ministry is discussing World Missions for the next few months. We are talking about the work that God is doing in the world, even today. One of the Wednesday Night prayer meeting groups has been taking time to pray for Muslims because it is Ramadan. Please join us in praying that Muslims would know Jesus as more than just a prophet. Pray that they would know him as He truly is – the Light of the World, the sinless Savior, and the kind King over all and more!

If you want to know more about what God is doing in Mexico, one of the missionary families our church supports will be sharing in English with the Mandarin congregation tonight. The sharing begins at 7:30 via zoom. If you want the link, please e-mail Pastor Willems.

Another way of understanding what needs there are globally for missionaries can be found here: https://stratus.earth/?fbclid=IwAR0ZGFBqVBverjw5faD18HC-VJYjhJGrECFRDUOKv4IoGia9YfofcWespRs. This is a website that is packed with content about the needs of a specific place – particularly as it relates to access to the gospel.

Do you know the needs? Are you eager to learn more? Or do you need to pray that God would open your heart and eyes to care for those who don’t know Him?

Also, please don’t forget to let us know your opinion regarding the naming of the English congregation. So far, we have 16 responses. The form is open through today. Please let your opinion be known. To do that, we would like you to vote (by the end of today, April 30) via the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/H8xcZdy4bf

This weekend, Sunday May 2nd, and two weeks later, May 16, we plan to worship together in-person. Whether you’re vaccinated or not, please come! We’ll be wearing face masks and practicing social distancing. Please sign up to join us in-person! Here is the link for that: https://forms.gle/mUsX6xAyiTmxiFto6

Last but not least, Angie and I really do want to get to know you better. The Kingdom of God is not about programs; it’s about people! To get to know you better, we are scheduling conversations with the members and regular attendees of the English ministry. If you get an e-mail from us or a call from us, please do respond! If you want to sign up on your own, please use the following link. (You may need to copy this link and paste it into your browser.)
