Here’s a little sermon preview for Mother’s Day (May 9):

“What are you preparing for? Are you preparing anything special for Mother’s Day? I know that some people here are preparing for graduation! They have completed the work and are being recognized or have been recognized as graduates this weekend. I’m preparing for things. For example, I’m preparing to do a project with college students this summer. I’m also working with the leaders in the English congregation to prepare for a more consistent return to church! We prepare for all sorts of things. For example, maybe you are preparing for taxes. Normally, the government says that April 15th is the day to pay your taxes. But this year, due to the pandemic, they gave people until May 17th. So, if you haven’t done your taxes yet, you will be preparing those in the coming days…”

One thing you can prepare are communion elements – we will have communion together this Sunday!
