Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I want to make sure that you don’t accidentally miss out on what is coming up in CrossPoint Community.
This weekend, we have our regular activities – Friday Night Bible Study at 7:30 pm; Open Gym on Saturday at 1:30 pm; and Sunday School at 9:45 am. Our worship service is at the normal time, and we will have the Children joining us for the Palm Sunday Worship Service. If you signed up to help with the Easter Family Festival (on April 4) there will be a co-worker training from 1 to 2 pm in the Fellowship Sanctuary.
Next week is Holy Week. On Wednesday, we will have prayer meeting at 7:45 pm. Then on Friday Night (April 3), we will have a Good Friday Worship Service at 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Sanctuary. There will be Stations set up for prayer in the Children’s wing after, if you choose to go and pray after our service.
On Saturday, we have the Easter Family Festival. Invite your friends and neighbors! It runs from 2 to 4 pm, with early entry available at 1:30 pm for those who pre-registered. If you’re helping, be here at 12 pm for a pizza lunch.
On Sunday, April 5, at 9:45 CPC will hold it’s annual Town Hall Meeting to share more about what we have been doing and where we are going as we week to fulfill the vision the Lord has for us. That will be in the Community Hall (A202) until 10:50 am. We will end at that time so that we (the hosts) can welcome guests who may be coming to our Easter Service, which starts at 11:25 am. There will be lunch on Easter Sunday available (no pizza, but if you don’t like the Chinese food option, you can get Ramen on Easter Sunday). Our deacon in charge strongly recommends pre-ordering to ensure that you will have an accurate headcount. The sign up link is here. (Note, you sign-up here for the regular lunch, but you will pay on Easter.) We do encourage you to stay for lunch so that you can attend the Baptism / Child Dedication service at 1:30 pm, in the Main Sanctuary.
Following Holy Week, on April 7, you are invited to the Ladies Bible Study at 10 am. If you know someone (perhaps yourself) who can provide childcare at that time, please let Pat and/or Jeanne know. We have regular activities that week. But on April 11th, CBCGL will be holding an ordination service for Minister Katherine Lu (our Children’s Minister who has been serving at CBCGL since September of 2019). That begins at 2 pm in the Main Sanctuary, with refreshments to follow. And save the date for April 18, we will have the Next Gen Fellowship, and in the evening, at 5 pm, take time to have a CPC fellowship meal, while also packing care packages for College Students who will be taking Finals in the first week of May.

Please continue to pray for the nations of Iran and Israel/Gaza and Ukraine/Russia and Sudan. Here is a suggested list of prayers if you are at a loss for words in how to pray: https://send.org/story/hh_pray_for_ukraine. And https://worldrelief.org/blog-prayer-for-israel-and-gaza/ And here are other prayers for peace in general: https://worldrelief.org/prayers-for-peace-in-the-world/ Thank you for kneeling on behalf of the people of Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Gaza and Lebanon, and Sudan, and Iran and taking a stand (or a knee in prayer) against the forces of darkness in this present age.

Further announcements can be found in the weekly spotlight. And other church wide announcements can be found in our weekly bulletin

For Prayer:

1. From Bishop J.C. Ryle – “To be prayerless is to be Christless, Godless, and in the high road to destruction…It will always be found that when prayers are few, grace, strength, peace, and hope are small.” Please join our Wednesday night prayer meeting (7:45 – 9:00 pm) even if you can’t participate the whole time.
