Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Did you think that last weekend was important? It was! We celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It’s a celebration of the historical reality of God becoming man, dying for us, and rising again from the dead.
This weekend, we have other (less) important things. On Sunday, April 7, CPC will have our bi-annual Town Hall Meeting. We will meet in the Community Hall (A-202) from 9:45 to 10:45 pm. We will review what we have done, talk about what we will be doing in the next 6 months, and take time to learn about resources available to you, as well as take time for questions. We will end a little early to be able to join the rest of the church in the main sanctuary for a Children’s and Youth Co-worker appreciation activity beginning at 10:50 am.
For our CrossPoint service, we will hear from God’s word, then celebrate communion and hear a baptism testimony from a youth! Then, following our service, ministry leaders will be meeting with a Senior Pastor candidate for an interview. While that is still happening, the church council will begin meeting at 2:30 pm.
Please be praying for God to lead and guide us as we serve Him faithfully.
Then, on Monday, April 8th, from around 2:15 pm to 4:45 pm, with the peak happening around 3:30 pm, there will be a 93% solar eclipse here in MA. From what I understand it will be the only total solar eclipse visible in the Contiguous United States for the next 20 years. Please note, you’ll need special glasses (ISO certified, meeting 12312-2 standards) to view the eclipse without damaging your eyes.

Additionally, please continue to pray for the nations of Israel and Ukraine. Pray that the wars would end. Here is a suggested list of prayers if you are at a loss for words in how to pray: https://send.org/story/hh_pray_for_ukraine. And https://worldrelief.org/blog-prayer-for-israel-and-gaza/ Thank you for kneeling on behalf of the people of Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Gaza and taking a stand (or a knee in prayer) against the forces of darkness in this present age.

4. Each Wednesday, such as this week (April 10) at 7:45 pm, you are invited, encouraged, and requested to join our weekly prayer meeting. We will not grow in Christ without growing in our dependence on God through prayer. In April, we’re praying for the future of the church. The link is found below in the section on prayer.

For Prayer:

1. From Bishop J.C. Ryle – “To be prayerless is to be Christless, Godless, and in the high road to destruction…It will always be found that when prayers are few, grace, strength, peace, and hope are small.” Please join our Wednesday night prayer meeting (7:45 – 9:15 pm) even if you can’t participate the whole time.
