As we are approaching Memorial Day (Next weekend), we have a lot of things going on. May is a full month of opportunities for you to connect with the Next Generation, to participate in events and activities, and to support the short-term mission teams that CBCGL is sending out this summer.
For example, tomorrow (May 16), we have the Next Gen Fellowship – from 11 am to 2 pm in the newly cleaned Room A202. Then we have Hobby Bunch from 2 to 4 pm in the same space. I hope to get to talk with you at some point this weekend – either Friday, or Saturday, or Sunday!
The image at the top of the page is the Sign-up for the Youth STM 5K – (***This Sunday!***) May 17 at 2 pm! Bring some extra $$$ to buy some sweet treats from a bake sale at the end of the 5k to further support STM!
Now’s the time to help with VBS and Panama STM. You can also bring in supplies for VBS this summer. See the list in the bulletin (Children’s Ministry Tab). Or check out the poster outside of the Main Sanctuary (Great work Jeanne!) You can also bring in pre-k or kindergarten level books which are like new (gently used), in either English or Spanish. CBCGL is collecting 40 of these books to be sent with the Panama STM this summer.
Also, please note, the Keeping it Vertical Women’s Bible Study is taking a Summer break following the May 19th meeting. Hope you can make it for the last meeting before the summer. It will resume again in September.
And FYI – There is no Friday Night Bible Study on next Friday – May 22 (due to the Memorial Day Weekend). But there will be Empower Fellowship.
Also, mark your calendars as we will have the CPC Summer Fun Day on May 23 – in the Main Cafeteria – from 11 am to 4 pm. (You don’t have to stay for the whole time, but we do have use of the gym from 1:30 to 4 pm). Here is a link for the potluck so that you can sign-up. The CPC Summer Fun Day is a time for CrossPoint Community to get together for fellowship, with the intent of having intergenerational interactions so that we can work towards our vision of equipping the next generation to advance God’s kingdom. But to do that, we need to know each other. So this Summer Fun Day is a day for us to spend time just getting to know each other and those connected with our regular ministries and activities.
