WTC Update:

Unfortunately due to Covid we the WTC planning team have decided to cancel WTC this year. If you have any questions please contact minister Jeremy (Jeremy.macdonald@lowell.church). Here is our official announcement:

Dear WTC community and families,
After a year of WTC online, the planning team was determined to have conference in person for 2022. We began planning right after WTC online 2021. It seemed like the pandemic was slowing down and vaccinations were becoming more and available to younger populations. So we kept moving forward spending time and energy towards an in-person WTC. Months later while planning was moving full steam, we faced a more transmissible variant of COVID19 and the need to consider if it is wise to have WTC. The planning team closely monitored the number COVID cases and hospitalizations in our state, and the operations of our churches to determine the course of action. Unfortunately, after much deliberation, we’ve decided that it’s best that we cancel WTC this year. This was not an easy choice for us to make. We thought through other options, the most obvious being another year online and move WTC to another weekend. These options were good and seriously considered but were not viable given the volatility of the pandemic and the required effort from all parties to re-plan with even less time.
We will not sugarcoat it. It is difficult to have assembled teams, found a speaker, and recruited volunteers for us to have to cancel. But the most disappointing part is having the excitement of going in-person for WTC for the first time in 2 years taken away. We can imagine that many of you reading this may feel this same disappointment. Obviously, we wish things were different. But we are reminded of Isaiah 41:10 which tells us “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” For some, it may feel like a small consolation but if the God of the universe is with us even in the moments of disappointment and despair, it tells us a greater good awaits us. We hope and pray you will wait with eager anticipation for that greater good.
